How to Play the Don't Give Up Game

How to Play the Don’t Give Up Game

You wanna know something that is fascinating and mind boggling?

Keep reading and find out. You’ll definitely be fascinated today while you learn how to play the Don’t Give Up Game.

What’s surprising is that when most people say that they’ll do something, they just flat out drop out when they get the chance.

I know that you know a few of those people.

Politicians I might suggest?

They promise change and more change and more change, but when they get elected and take office, nothing happens.

And then look at some people that you might know. An attorney, a boss, a, well, whoever.

For the most part, what happens is that they say something like “I’ll take care of that and I’ll have it done by tomorrow.”

And then it doesn’t happen.

How could that be?

It’s because they gave up on you (in most cases I must acknowledge).

They really don’t care about you.

And you know what?

That’s ok (unless a life’s on the line).

Because there is one person who can say “I simply won’t quit.”

And that’s you.

The one who can control the destiny of your future with some simple realizations that I will reveal today.

Here they come.

YOU are the one in control

How to Play the Don't Give Up Game

Let me start off by saying that you are honestly the one controlling your life.

Really.

Circumstances like a job or taking care of the kids?

Yeah, that stuff does happen and can cut through the amount of time that you have to really work on yourself.

But that doesn’t mean that you can’t.

You can indeed start off small if that’s what it takes and invest more time into it as the circumstances become more favorable for you.

You can build momentum towards what you want every day in some capacity.

For instance, say you are someone working at a job and you want to build a successful business for yourself.

You have already laid out what you want to do and what steps you need to take to get there.

However, you have to pay the bills.

And that can take time out of your day.

Assuming that you have a 9-5 job, you have the evening all to yourself.

Now that the bills are taken care of, why not use that time and work on yourself?

Do you spend all night watching TV like my mom does when she gets home from work?

If that’s the case, you can definitely fix that starting today.

It does not have to be that way for the rest of your life.

Here’s a simple activity to get you started.

I want you to write down what YOU want to do and what you are doing during the time that you aren’t at work and see if it can be removed. For instance, watching TV every evening is something that can definitely be removed.

These are what I call “poison pills” that cost you money and these are actually damaging to your future.

More information on the toxic effects of “poison pills” can be found here.

You’ll be very surprised by what you find. Lifetime warranty with a $100 Amazon gift card sent to your doorstep if I’m not right.

And now for the next important component of this new game that you found today.

Have Self-Belief

How to Play the Don't Give Up Game

This is the one that will literally make you the most unbreakable person on Earth.

When you have self-belief, you find every reason to keep going and to not make any excuses.

When you say that “I can do it no matter what,” you choose yourself and you motivate yourself to keep going, even when times are tough.

This simple action empowers you to drive towards becoming what you envision.

Additionally, when you have self-belief, you are immune to criticism.

When people tell you that “You can’t do it” or that “You’re stupid for doing that” or “You are crazy for doing what you are doing,” assuming that you aren’t going into crazy debt for any reason and you are not doing anything illegal, this criticism actually validates your actions as the correct steps going forward.

The reason for that is this:

When people criticize you like that, they are really saying “Oh I wish that I was doing that” or “I am jealous of you doing that.”

It is nothing more than a defense mechanism for people to put the blame on you for them not taking the actions that they need to take to achieve what they want.

And that’s the truth.

I elaborate about that concept here if you are interested. You’ll uncover some useful gold here; that’s for sure!

Let me demonstrate this with an example so that you can see.

I’m sure that if you are a boxing fan, you have heard of Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

He is 50-0.

That’s right, no losses. Not even Muhammad Ali got to that level of success.

Before I elaborate a little further about Mayweather in context of this article, I must say that one thing you have to respect about him is that the man trained like a dog to get to his level of success.

He was not forgiving of anyone that hindered his success.

He did not let anything and I mean ANYTHING block him from becoming the greatest boxer of our generation.

No, it is not Muhammad Ali.

And it is certainly not Rocky Balboa.

It is Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

Who else got to 50-0?

No one.

And why was he able to train like a dog and become the ruler of the boxing world?

Watch the video below and you’ll learn why. It lines up with everything that I am saying in this section.

And if you are boxing fan, I’m sure that you are pretty well aware that Floyd Mayweather gets a lot of hate when he fights.

Everybody literally pays to see him lose.

And you know what?

That’s great thing.

Not only does he get the biggest pay per view checks in the world as a result of everyone wanting to see him lose, but this hatred validates his actions to doing what he is doing.

This hatred means that he is correct to keep doing what he is doing and that his ambitions are grounded with reality.

It is grounded in the fact that with self-belief, you will find a way to take the action that you need to take and that you will get to where you want to go.

Circumstances are an obstacle to be dealt with, but they can be overcome with the correct ingredients.

Which brings us to the next ingredient to the game.

Never Say No to Yourself

Let’s start this section off with this:

If you say no to yourself, you just lost.

There, I just said it.

Saying no to yourself means that you just counted yourself out of your own contest.

Literally, it’s a contest that you created and that you chart out.

If you count yourself out of that, how could expect to conquer the real world?

Because if you say no to yourself, how can you expect others to say yes to you?

Impossible!

And let me add on with this:

If you say no to yourself, your mind becomes lazy and content.

It becomes static instead of dynamic.

And when you become static, you don’t move and everything is the same.

How do you expect progress when that happens?

Exactly.

Let me tell you something about me.

When I want something, I never say no to myself. I never say “I can’t accomplish that.”

When I want something, I always say “I will get it no matter what.”

With Join the Island, I know exactly where I want to take it. I want to make this the most influential, powerful, and most financially lucrative blog on the planet.

Seriously.

I’m freakin’ obsessed with my success.

And that’s the god honest truth.

I envision myself having a powerful empire that allows me to not only enjoy the freedom that I desire to achieve and have systems that work for me day in and day out.

I’m serious! It’s not a joke!

And everyday in some capacity, I am working towards this vision.

And I know that I will make it a reality.

Do you wanna know why?

Because I simply don’t tell myself no.

Just like Floyd Mayweather, I don’t allow anyone to brainwash me and say that I can’t have it for whatever reason.

Simply put, when criticism happens, it validates what I’m doing as something worthy and something of actual substance.

And that right there is great enougb reason to keep going.

And that is the power of not saying no to yourself.

And now to the next ingredient of this game.

Have Your “Why”

This one is extremely important.

You need to listen up to this one.

You can’t just be doing something for the sake of doing it.

You need to know “why” you are doing it.

Now, why is knowing your “why” important?

Because when you know your “why,” you truly know what you are doing and you understand the process of what you are doing and how it works so that you can create solutions.

In other words, you don’t have to memorize your way to the top. You can just let your understanding guide your actions and it will take you there provided that you say yes to yourself first.

This “why” will literally give you a purpose for what you are doing and it will motivate you to get up every day and to work towards that purpose.

This “why” is what you are put on Earth to do.

This “why” will give you fulfillment every day for the rest of your life once it is accomplished.

Do you remember on a school test that you try to memorize everything before it, but then it suddenly vanishes out into thin air?

The reason is that, probably, since you didn’t understand why everything was happening, there was no usefulness for the brain to retain it.

Since the material wasn’t useful and the brain didn’t understand why you needed to know it, it just dispensed it like “Whatever.”

And that’s exactly what happens for most people.

When they see something that they don’t understand the usefulness of, it is tossed out onto the curb like “Whatever.”

That’s what you do not want.

You don’t want to kick your life to the curb and say “Whatever; let’s watch TV the rest of the way.”

No, that’s not how life is meant to be lived.

Your “why” is too important.

Your “why” allows you to understand why you are put on this planet and it’ll motivate you to keep going.

So if you haven’t found it, do yourself a favor and do what you need to do to find it.

Use this post as a starting point to doing so.

You’ll be much better off than you were yesterday.

Guaranteed my friend.

What To Do Now

So there you have it future islander.

That’s how you play the game of not giving up.

It really consists of those 4 ingredients.

Here they are again:

1. Having control of yourself

2. Having Self-Belief

3. Never saying “no” to yourself

4. Understanding your “why”

What you’ll do is this:

Read this post again if you must and take note of anything that is useful for you.

Print it out and write on it if you have to.

As for finding your why, here are some starters to get you going in the right direction:

1. Get a life coach or career coach. Make sure that they are certified from a source that does accreditation in their space and hire an attorney before engaging with one.

2. Read this and complete it in its entirety.

3. If you already have an inner curiosity that you want to explore, find a source that can help you dive deeper into the field. If you are interested in Physics for example, you can start here and go from there.

And most importantly, do not give up. Don’t quit. That is the very worst thing that you can do for yourself.

Because if you quit, all is lost.

Please comment below and say what you will do to not quit on your “why.” I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Hi Evan, this is yet another inspiring post from you and you know I am a great fan of yours. You are really motivated and I actually believe everything you say about having the biggest blog on the planet one day. Why do I believe you over all the others? Because you own your own power and you understand the role of the law of attraction in manifesting all your desires, AND you are willing to put in the physical work. It’s a combination of all these things that gives you the power to achieve anything.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the great things you will surely achieve in the future, and thanks for sharing your path to success 🙂

    1. Thank you very much for your terrific comment Stefanie; it really means a lot! I know that I can achieve anything; it’s in my DNA and in yours as well! Click here to read why that’s so! And comment on that article to when you get the chance with what you got out of it!

  2. Very inspirational! I had no idea about Mayweather’s success. I was aware he was successful, but that is truly incredible! I love how you made so many points about never giving up and pursuing your goals. But most of all, not letting anything stand in the way of success!

I am reminded of many famous individuals with similar testimonies who achieved success because they never gave up and wouldn’t back down. Thanks for this awesome post!
